The Dragonbone Mail is a unique heavy armor cuirass from the Alternative Armors - Dragon Plate Creation. It has a base armor rating of 48 and weighs 50. The body of Bjormund Wind-Strider wears it at the top of the tower at Arcwind Point, at the end of the quest Bones for a Crow.

Dragonbone Mail map location:

The Dragonbone Mail is worn by the body of Bjormund Wind-Strider at the top of the tower at Arcwind Point. It is taken during Bones for a Crow, a bounty from any innkeeper.

Ask an innkeeper for bounty work and read the Bounty for Crowstooth.
Find Crowstooth's Camp and read Linelle's Note there.
Travel to Arcwind Point and kill Crowstooth in the tower.
Search the top of the tower for the body of Bjormund Wind-Strider.
Take the Dragonbone Mail from his body.

Gameplay Tips

Wear it against fire-breathing dragons and fire mages.
Temper it at a workbench with one Dragon Bone. The Dragon Armor perk doubles the improvement, and the Arcane Blacksmith perk is needed.

Smithing Guide

Enchanted weapons require the Arcane Blacksmith Perk to upgrade.

Upgrades

Dragonbone Mail is improved at a workbench with one Dragon Bone per improvement. The Dragon Armor perk doubles the improvement, so each quality tier needs less Smithing skill. An enchanted copy can only be improved with the Arcane Blacksmith perk.
