Newton Module

| Class | Frontal Cortex |
| Capacity | 14 |
The Newton Module shortens the cooldown of every installed implant each time V takes down an enemy. Each kill shaves a small share off all running cooldowns at once. In a long fight with many enemies, those small cuts add up. Active implants such as a Sandevistan, a Berserk or Optical Camo come back sooner as a result. It suits an aggressive build that kills often and uses its active cyberware a lot. The Newton Module is sold by ripperdocs across Night City and Dogtown.
Effect
The Newton Module triggers whenever V neutralizes an enemy. The cut happens at once and applies to all cyberware that is on cooldown at that moment. At Tier 5, each kill takes a little over one percent off every cooldown.
One kill makes only a small difference. The implant is strongest in fights with many weak enemies, such as gang hideouts and large firefights. Every kill brings the next Sandevistan or Berserk activation a little closer. Implants with very long cooldowns, such as the Second Heart, also benefit from each kill.
The Newton Module is attuned to Technical Ability. Each point of Technical Ability adds half a point of armor. Its stat bonuses add Bonus Stealth Damage and, from Tier 2, Melee Damage.

Upgrades
The Newton Module comes in tiers up to Tier 5++. The tier a ripperdoc stocks rises with V's level. Each tier raises the cooldown cut for each kill. An installed copy can be raised a tier at a ripperdoc with the matching item components. The Driver Update perk adds one more stat bonus. The Chipware Connoisseur perk offers a choice of bonuses when V upgrades the implant. V gains Cyberware Capacity with each level and from Cyberware Capacity Shards. The Edgerunner perk lets V go over the limit at the cost of some max Health.
The table shows what each tier step of Newton Module costs at a ripperdoc.

Character Builds
The Newton Module works best in a build that relies on cyberware with cooldowns. The Cyborg perk in Technical Ability cuts all cyberware cooldowns by 15% when every available cyberware slot is filled. The Extended Warranty perk adds duration to all cyberware effects. Together, these perks make each activation last longer and come back sooner.
A Sandevistan user kills quickly while time is slowed. Each of those kills shortens the Sandevistan cooldown for the next use. A Berserk user gets the same help. Combat gadgets such as the Projectile Launch System and Optical Camo also recharge faster.
Select a Build
A one-handed club and Dashes pick off enemies one by one while Berserk is on cooldown. Once Health drops, Berserk makes the character invulnerable and melee attacks cost no Stamina. Quake slams the ground whenever it is ready and staggers every enemy nearby.
Attributes: Body 20, Reflexes 20, Technical Ability 20, Intelligence 3, Cool 18.
