The HA-7 Warden is Hansen Armory's smart submachine gun, an awkward-looking Dogtown gun that gets faster the longer it fires. Every shot in a row raises its fire rate. Holding the trigger turns a slow first burst into a fast stream of homing rounds. With a Smart Link, those rounds chase their targets around cover. It works best in a Phantom Liberty netrunner or smart weapon build that likes to hold down the trigger. The Iconics Pizdets and Chesapeake are built on it. The HA-7 Warden is a Phantom Liberty weapon. Sophia Dupont sells it at the EBM Petrochem Stadium in Dogtown. Herold Lowe's black market in the same stadium sells its crafting spec.
Combat
The Warden fires in full auto, and its trait rewards long bursts. The first shots come out slowly. Each shot that follows raises the fire rate, so the gun is at its best late in a burst. Short taps lose that speed-up. A long, steady burst gets the most out of it.
With a Smart Link, the Warden locks onto enemies inside its tracking box, and its rounds bend toward them. Smart bullets can curve around low walls but fly slower than normal rounds. Smart weapons also deal a little less raw damage in return for easier aiming.
The slow start makes the Warden weaker in a sudden ambush, where the first second matters most. It does better in a fight that has already started, firing from cover at a group that stays in place.

Upgrades
A stronger Warden comes from a higher tier. V can buy one. V can also buy the crafting spec from Herold Lowe and craft a better-quality gun with components.
Character Builds
The Warden uses perks from two attribute trees, Intelligence and Reflexes. In Intelligence, No Escape resets a target lock that is about to end when V shoots the target. Targeting Prism allows several locks while aiming. Terminal Velocity speeds up smart rounds after each smart kill, which makes up for their slow speed. Recirculation restores RAM after a smart kill.
In Reflexes, Mind Over Matter lowers recoil while aiming, which helps once the fire rate climbs. Spray And Pray cuts the Stamina cost of hip-fire. Submachine Fun speeds up the swap to an SMG and reloads it on the swap. It also adds fire rate afterwards. That fire rate bonus adds to the Warden's own speed-up.
Smart Link is the key cyberware, because it turns the smart targeting on. Its mod slots take smart and SMG mods. Panorama widens the smart targeting circle. It also holds a lock briefly after a target leaves the circle. Better Half adds crit chance for the second half of the magazine. The Warden fires fastest during that half. Hackatomy, an Iconic mod, adds a chance to apply a quickhack effect on hit. Ready Steady cuts recoil, and Equalizer adds damage against Elite enemies.
Select a Build
Each fight starts with Overclock, then a control quickhack, then a combat quickhack. Smart guns lock on and finish the hacked enemies while Dashes and air Dashes keep the character moving. Silenced Smart guns and stealthy quickhacks also handle quiet gigs.

Lore
The in-game line is honest about its looks: a bit unwieldy, but great at drilling holes in enemies. Hansen Armory is the Dogtown gunsmith that arms Kurt Hansen's BARGHEST militia.
Its Iconics come from two very different owners. Pizdets belonged to Boris Ribakov, a scavenger boss V meets in the gig Spy in the Jungle. Its mods reward holding the trigger even more, because its crit chance rises the longer it fires. A custom silencer keeps it quiet. Chesapeake is a BARGHEST weapon from the Dogtown airdrops, and it makes V faster with every kill.
Notes
- Pizdets and Chesapeake are the Iconic variants of the HA-7 Warden.
- The game also lists the gun simply as Warden.
