Bioconductor

| Class | Frontal Cortex |
| Tier | Tier 1 |
The Bioconductor lets V's quickhacks land critical hits. With this implant, each damaging quickhack has a solid chance to crit. The price is a permanent cut to V's Max RAM. It suits a netrunner who relies on damaging quickhacks and can spare the lost RAM. The Bioconductor is an early to late game implant, sold by every ripperdoc in Night City and Dogtown from the start of the game.
Effect
The Bioconductor is a passive implant. It gives quickhacks the ability to deal critical hits. At Tier 1, quickhacks have a fifteen percent Crit Chance. The chance rises at each step, to well over a third at the highest tiers. A critical hit deals extra damage based on V's Crit Damage.
The implant also lowers V's Max RAM by four at every tier. Fewer RAM units mean fewer quickhacks before V must wait for RAM to recover. A large cyberdeck makes that loss easier to absorb.
The implant is attuned to Intelligence. Each Intelligence point adds a very small bonus to all damage V deals. A character with full Intelligence gains about one percent of extra damage.
How to Get Bioconductor Guide
- Visit any ripperdoc from the start of the game to buy it at Tier 1.
- Return every ten levels for a higher tier.
- Upgrade it at a ripperdoc with crafting components.

Upgrades
The Bioconductor comes in every tier from Tier 1 to Tier 5++. Each step raises the quickhack Crit Chance. The RAM penalty and the capacity cost stay the same at every tier. Ripperdocs stock a higher tier every ten levels, from Tier 2 at level 10 to Tier 5 at level 40. A ripperdoc can upgrade it with crafting components, which is the only way to reach Tier 5++.
The table shows what each tier step of Bioconductor costs at a ripperdoc.
| Upgrade | Components | Requirement |
|---|---|---|
| Tier 1 to Tier 1+ | 30 Tier 1 components | - |
| Tier 1+ to Tier 2 | 22 Tier 2 components | - |
| Tier 2 to Tier 2+ | 30 Tier 2 components | - |
| Tier 2+ to Tier 3 | 22 Tier 3 components | - |
| Tier 3 to Tier 3+ | 30 Tier 3 components | - |
| Tier 3+ to Tier 4 | 22 Tier 4 components | - |
| Tier 4 to Tier 4+ | 30 Tier 4 components | - |
| Tier 4+ to Tier 5 | 22 Tier 5 components | - |
| Tier 5 to Tier 5+ | 30 Tier 5 components | - |
| Tier 5+ to Tier 5++ | 75 Tier 5 components | Phantom Liberty |
Character Builds
The Bioconductor belongs in an Intelligence build that uses Combat quickhacks. Overclock lets V keep hacking with too little RAM by paying with Health. Hack Queue and Queue Acceleration each add one Max RAM, which offsets part of the loss. Embedded Exploit raises quickhack damage against enemies affected by Control quickhacks, Covert quickhacks or Distract Enemies. System Overwhelm adds quickhack damage for each unique quickhack and damage-over-time effect on the target.
For other cyberware, the Camillo RAM Manager and the RAM Reallocator each add two Max RAM. They also refill RAM when it runs low. Both sit in the Frontal Cortex next to the Bioconductor. Cyberdecks with large RAM pools, such as the NetWatch Netdriver, also soften the cost.
Select a Build
The Monowire whips several enemies at once from a short distance, and quickhacks are uploaded between attacks. Intelligence perks give the Monowire more damage and return RAM on hits. Overclock spends Health in place of RAM when a fight drags on.

Lore
The Bioconductor's in-game line says it facilitates superconductivity in the circuitry that connects the body's cyberware. The implant goes into one of the three Frontal Cortex slots. The COX-2 Cybersomatic Optimizer from Phantom Liberty is its Iconic variant.
Notes
- The COX-2 Cybersomatic Optimizer is the Iconic variant. It raises quickhack Crit Chance much higher but costs far more capacity and RAM.
