Genjiroh is an Arasaka smart pistol that fires four rounds with every burst. With Smart Link installed, it locks on to several enemies at once. It sends faster projectiles at each of them. Its rounds also deal extra Electrical damage with a higher chance to Shock. It works best in a smart-gun or netrunner build that wants a sidearm able to handle a group. Genjiroh can be found in two places. One is the main job Play It Safe in Japantown. The other is a desk at the Arasaka Estate in North Oak.
Combat
Genjiroh fires bursts of four smart rounds. Once Smart Link is installed, aiming locks on to several targets, and each burst spreads its rounds across them. The extra projectile speed helps the rounds reach targets before they move. Every round adds Electrical damage and a chance to Shock.
The larger magazine keeps the bursts going longer between reloads. Genjiroh rewards keeping the aim on a group until the locks build up. V can then fire burst after burst while the Shocks land.

Character Builds
Genjiroh works best in an Intelligence build with the smart weapon perks. Targeting Prism allows multiple locks while aiming and adds one more target. Acquisition Specialist speeds up lock-on and keeps the lock through a reload. Target Lock Transfer keeps locks when switching between smart weapons. It also keeps them when switching from aiming to hip-fire on headshots. Recirculation restores RAM after each smart weapon kill. Smart Synergy gives instant locks and bonus damage on quickhacked enemies while Overclock is active.
Smart Link itself extends target-lock duration and adds crit damage with smart weapons. Kiroshi Cockatrice Optics add crit chance.

Lore
Genjiroh is the Iconic variant of the Arasaka HJKE-11 Yukimura. The first copy is hidden in Play It Safe. In that job, V protects Takemura during the Arasaka parade in Japantown by taking out three snipers. On the way to the second sniper, a locked room on floor 21 holds the pistol. A second copy waits in a small office on the ground floor of the Arasaka Estate in North Oak.
Notes
- The Arasaka Estate copy stays available later in the story. A copy missed in Play It Safe is therefore easy to replace.
