Scorch is a free Iconic Tech pistol for owners of Phantom Liberty who also own GWENT: The Witcher Card Game. It is a Militech Ticon decorated with Gwent cards on its frame, and it goes straight into V's stash. Its charged shot fires three rounds at once, and every round deals full damage. The Iconic effect rewards fire builds. A charged shot that hits a burning enemy puts its round back in the magazine. With a steady source of Burn, Scorch keeps firing charged bursts long after a normal magazine would be empty. Scorch is available as soon as the GOG reward unlocks. It can be used from the first hours of a Phantom Liberty playthrough.
Combat
Scorch is a Tech pistol, so its strength is the charged shot. Holding the trigger charges the barrel, and releasing it fires three rounds together. Each of those rounds deals the full damage of a charged shot. A fully charged Tech shot also goes through cover, so a burning enemy who ducks behind a crate can still be hit.
The Iconic effect is what makes Scorch worth using. When a charged shot hits an enemy who is burning, the round comes back into the magazine. Against a group set on fire by an incendiary grenade, V can keep firing charged bursts and reload far less often. Against enemies who are not burning, Scorch works like a standard Ticon. The gun is only at its best when enemies are already on fire.

Character Builds
Scorch uses perks from two attribute trees, Cool and Technical Ability. Cool covers pistols. Focus and Deadeye add headshot damage, and Run 'N' Gun removes the Stamina cost of hip-fire. Technical Ability covers Tech weapons. Bolt makes charging faster and adds damage to charged shots. It also makes a shot count as fully charged if the trigger is released just before full charge. In Charge stops the pistol from firing on its own at full charge, which gives V time to aim the burst. Internal Clock widens the timing window for a Bolt. Shock Value lets Bolts ignore armor.
The build also needs a way to set enemies on fire. The CHAR Incendiary Grenade applies Burn. Grenade perks such as Health Freak and Pyromania make grenades recharge faster. Thermal arm cyberware adds a Burn chance of its own. The Thermal Projectile Launch System, Thermal Mantis Blades and Thermal Gorilla Arms all deal Thermal damage with a chance to Burn. In the hands slot, the Electromag Recycler restores Health and Stamina whenever a fully charged Tech shot lands.
Select a Build
Ping reveals enemies behind walls, and Tech weapon shots pierce the cover between them. A charged shot released at the click of Bolt deals the most damage. With a Militech Sandevistan, the charge starts first and time slows at half charge so the Bolt shot lands as a headshot.

Lore
Scorch is one of the Witcher-themed rewards that come with Phantom Liberty. Its in-game text reads like a Gwent card: pillars of flame turn the mightiest to ash, and everyone else trembles in shock and awe. The cards on its sides make it easy to tell apart from a plain Ticon.
The rest of the set follows the same idea. The Rarog vest needs only Phantom Liberty. The Wild Hunt jacket and the Gwynbleidd sword also need The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. Scorch and the GWENT T-shirt are the two rewards tied to GWENT.
The base gun is the Militech Ticon, an old Militech pistol that later inspired the M-76e Omaha. Pariah is the other Iconic built on the Ticon.
