Baby Boomer is a baseball bat from Lina Malina's braindance merchandise, and it rewards long combos. Every hit in a row during a combo raises its crit chance. The bat hits much harder the longer V keeps attacking. It works best in a Body build that likes to stay close to the enemy. Baby Boomer is a Phantom Liberty reward from the side job Dazed and Confused, given by Mr. Hands in Dogtown.
Combat
Baby Boomer is a heavy two-handed blunt weapon. Its unique effect builds during a combo. Each hit in a row against an enemy raises crit chance. The third and later swings are far more likely to crit than the first. The bat works best against a single target that V can keep hitting.
The bat also has extra armor penetration, which helps it hurt armoured enemies. Blocking and countering keep V alive between combos, and the blunt perks in the Body tree reward both.

Character Builds
Baby Boomer works best in a Body build with blunt weapon perks. Wrecking Ball lowers the Stamina cost of blunt attacks, so a combo can last longer. Quake adds attack speed with blunt weapons and unlocks a ground slam that staggers nearby enemies. Kinetic Absorption gives Stamina and bonus damage after blocking an attack. Clapback adds knockdown chance to defensive attacks and stun chance to counterattacks. Finisher: Savage Sling unlocks a blunt finisher that restores Health when an enemy is low.
Cyberware can make each combo longer and stronger. Microrotors raise melee attack speed. The Adrenaline Booster restores Stamina after a melee kill. The BioDyne Berserk adds attack speed, crit chance and crit damage while active. It also removes the Stamina cost of attacks.
Lore
Baby Boomer is an Iconic baseball bat sold as part of Lina Malina's merchandise. Lina is a braindance star. Its description says it has zero tolerance for losers.
In Dazed and Confused, Mr. Hands hears that Lina has been kidnapped and held in the Brainporium studio. The captive turns out to be Edgar Tool, a superfan. After a mishap with one of her braindances, he now believes he is Lina. His friend Shank asks V for help. The plan is to get the real Lina to shoot a braindance with Tool and break the illusion. V tracks Lina down, convinces her to take part, then directs the shoot. The way V directs Lina decides whether Tool is cured. It also decides whether Lina leaves her bat behind as a gift.
Notes
- Telling Lina to read Tool's letter restores Tool's mind, but Lina leaves without giving V the bat.
