Electric Baton Alpha is an electric shock stick, a one-handed blunt club that adds Electrical damage to every hit. Its wide swings can hit several enemies at once. It is better against a crowd than in a one-on-one fight. As a blunt weapon, it knocks enemies out instead of killing them. It helps in jobs where a target has to be taken alive. It is the Alpha model of the electric batons, alongside Beta and Gamma. It works well in a Body build that fights up close. Electric Baton Alpha can be bought or looted. Coach Fred sells it in Little China, and it turns up in gigs and NCPD scanner hustles.
Combat
The Alpha is a one-handed club. Its light attacks are quick, and its built-in trait lets each swing hit more than one enemy. It is useful when two or three thugs rush V at the same time. Every hit also deals Electrical damage with a chance to Shock the target. Shock adds a further burst of Electrical damage.
Blunt weapons are non-lethal by default. Enemies beaten with the baton are left unconscious. V stays out of trouble on jobs that ask for no killing, such as cyberpsycho sightings. Blunt hits also have a chance to stun.
The baton is weak against gunfire at range. Getting close is the hard part. Blocking with a blunt weapon keeps V alive on the way in.

Upgrades
A stronger Alpha comes from finding or buying it at a higher tier. Shops and loot both scale with V's level.
Character Builds
The Alpha uses the Body tree. Wrecking Ball lowers the Stamina cost of blunt attacks. Its second level lets V ram into enemies while sprinting and blocking. Fly Swatter cuts incoming ranged damage while blocking with a blunt weapon, which makes getting close far safer. Clapback adds knockdown chance to defensive attacks and stun chance to counterattacks. Quake adds attack speed and a ground slam that damages and staggers nearby enemies. Finisher: Savage Sling adds a blunt finisher that restores Health. Stunned enemies are easier to finish.
For cyberware, Microrotors raise melee attack speed. The Adrenaline Booster restores Stamina after melee takedowns, so V can keep swinging.
Its mod slots take melee and blunt mods. Barbarian adds damage against stunned, staggered and knocked-down enemies, which works well with a stun weapon. Cyclone lets a sprint attack start an unlimited combo for a few seconds. Severance, an Iconic mod, gives hits to the head or limbs of a badly hurt enemy a chance to dismember and kill. Bloodbruiser makes the baton lethal and adds a chance to cause Bleeding.
Select a Build
A one-handed club and Dashes pick off enemies one by one while Berserk is on cooldown. Once Health drops, Berserk makes the character invulnerable and melee attacks cost no Stamina. Quake slams the ground whenever it is ready and staggers every enemy nearby.

Lore
The in-game line pitches it with a grin: perfect for crowd control, or for just one unlucky person. The joke works because the baton really can do both. It can hit a whole group or knock out one person.
The Alpha has sister models. Beta and Gamma share its electric charge and its wide swing, and each has its own look and its own in-game line.
Notes
- Electric Baton Beta and Electric Baton Gamma are its sister models.
