The Crusher is a classic combat shotgun, an old design that still sells well in Night City. It fires much faster than a pump shotgun and holds a large magazine. It can keep firing through a whole room before a reload. Each shell has fewer pellets than heavier shotguns, but the gun fires at a steady rate. The Crusher is a dependable close-range gun for a Body build that prefers many shots over one giant blast. It also takes a scope, which keeps it useful a few steps further out. The Crusher appears in weapon shops and on enemies through the middle of the game. It turns up from The Glen and Arroyo to the Aldecaldos camp in the Badlands.
Combat
The Crusher is a Power shotgun with a large magazine and a fast rate of fire. Shotguns are close-range weapons that can knock enemies off their feet. The Crusher can do that again and again in quick succession. It is strong when several enemies push in at once, because V can switch targets quickly between shots.
Each shell fires a smaller spread of pellets than a heavy shotgun such as the Carnage. Damage per shot is lower, but the fast fire rate makes up for it. Power rounds can also ricochet off walls.
The scope slot adds one more option. A short scope gives a little zoom and range for moments when an enemy stays back. The Crusher still works best at close range, but the scope helps it reach a few steps further.
How to Get Crusher Guide

Character Builds
Shotguns use the Body tree. Die! Die! Die! adds crit chance at low Stamina. It also adds fire rate and handling as Stamina drops, which helps a gun that fires this often. Like A Feather removes the shotgun movement penalty. Bullet Ballet reduces the spread while moving. Spontaneous Obliteration and Close-Quarters Carnage add a chance to Obliterate weakened enemies at close range. Rush Of Blood speeds up reloads after a dismemberment. Rip And Tear adds damage when shotgun blasts and quick melee hits are mixed.
For cyberware, Immovable Force and Shock Absorber reduce recoil, and Clutch Padding lowers the Stamina cost of shooting.
Its mod slots take shotgun and Power mods. Better Half adds crit chance for the second half of the magazine, which helps most with a large magazine. Vivisector raises dismemberment chance. Swiss Cheese adds armor penetration. Critochet adds crit chance to ricochets. Pyro turns part of the damage into Thermal damage with a chance to Burn.
Select a Build
Dashes close the gap so the shotgun can blast enemies at point-blank range. A quick melee hit after a shot boosts the next one through Rip and Tear. The shotgun and LMG perks grow stronger at low Stamina, so the build keeps shooting and dashing without a pause.
