The Electrifying Monowire is a Monowire that deals Electrical damage and can Shock its targets. It keeps the long reach of the standard wire, and one sweep can still hit several enemies at once. This variant grows stronger with Reflexes instead of Intelligence. That makes it the Monowire for an agile character who still wants the netrunner perks that work with the wire. The Electrifying Monowire is an early to mid game implant that ripperdocs sell from level 10.
Effect
The Electrifying Monowire is a long, whip-like wire that V swings like a melee weapon. Its range is the longest of any melee weapon in the game. Wide swings can hit several enemies at the same time.
Every hit deals Electrical damage instead of Physical damage. Each hit also has a chance to Shock the target, and that chance rises with the tier.
This variant is attuned to Reflexes. Each point of Reflexes adds 0.5% damage with the wire. The standard Monowire scales with Intelligence instead. All four Monowire variants share the same attack speed and Stamina cost. Their damage per hit differs only slightly.
Like the standard wire, it shows an empty quickhack slot. The Relic perk Jailbreak puts that slot to use.
How to Get Electrifying Monowire Guide

Upgrades
Ripperdocs sell the Electrifying Monowire at Tier 2 from level 10, Tier 3 from level 20, Tier 4 from level 30 and Tier 5 from level 40. An installed wire can be raised a tier at a ripperdoc with the matching item components. Each tier raises the damage and the Shock chance. Each implant costs Cyberware Capacity. V gains capacity with each level and from Cyberware Capacity Shards. The Edgerunner perk lets V go over the limit by up to 50 points, at the cost of some max Health.
The table shows what each tier step of Electrifying Monowire costs at a ripperdoc.

Character Builds
The Electrifying Monowire suits a build with high Reflexes and some Intelligence. Reflexes raises the damage of the wire. Intelligence unlocks the perks made for the Monowire. Siphon makes every Monowire attack recover RAM, and the amount doubles against a target that is affected by a quickhack or targeted by one. Finisher: Live Wire unlocks a Monowire Finisher on low Health enemies. Queued quickhacks make the Finisher easier, and it restores Health and RAM.
Reflexes also helps V move around a fight. The perk Dash replaces dodging with a longer Dash. Mad Dash doubles Dash range toward enemies, which brings V into whip range quickly.
Phantom Liberty adds Relic perks for arm cyberware. Jailbreak gives the Monowire a dedicated slot for a Control quickhack. A fully charged attack uploads the installed quickhack without paying its RAM cost. Data Tunneling spreads that quickhack to other enemies that the wire hits at the same time.
Select a Build
Modelled on Lucy from the anime, the build mixes quickhacks with the Monowire. Quickhacks spread through groups, then Monowire hits finish the weakened enemies. A power pistol covers enemies at range.
