Yasha is an Iconic Tsunami Ashura, a smart sniper rifle that Phantom Liberty players got through a Twitch promotion. Its Iconic bonus is the x-MOD2 package: two guaranteed mod slots and better handling than the standard Ashura. Like the Ashura, it locks onto a single enemy at a time and fires one smart round before each reload. Yasha is a sniper rifle that does much of the aiming for V and then hits very hard. With the mod slots, V can improve its headshots, armor penetration or lock-on speed. Yasha was a Twitch promotion reward for Phantom Liberty owners. It was added straight to V's stash.
Combat
Yasha is a smart sniper rifle. With a Smart Link installed, it locks onto one enemy at a time and guides its round toward that target. It holds a single round, so every shot matters, and each one is followed by a reload.
The single lock works best for careful fights against one target at a time. V chooses the most dangerous enemy, waits for the lock, then fires a homing shot that is hard to dodge. It is worse against a crowd rushing in. Firing one slow shot at a time leaves V exposed.
The two mod slots are what make it better than a plain Ashura. Headhopper adds extra lock-on targets, faster lock-on and headshot damage. Panorama widens the smart targeting circle. Gambiteer adds bullet speed and armor penetration, but the rounds home in less. Headtoll grants a series of bonuses for headshot kills in a row. Stabilizer improves handling while crouching.
How to Get Yasha Guide
- Yasha was granted through a Twitch promotion for Phantom Liberty owners.
- Once the reward is linked to the account, collect Yasha from V's stash.

Upgrades
Yasha is an Iconic weapon, so it can be raised through the tiers in the Upgrades tab of the crafting menu. Each step costs crafting components, and the rifle must be in V's inventory to appear in the list. Higher tiers also allow better mods, because a mod must be the same tier as the weapon or lower to fit.
The table shows what each tier step of Yasha costs.

Character Builds
Yasha uses perks from two attribute trees, Intelligence and Cool. Intelligence covers smart weapons. Acquisition Specialist widens the targeting circle and speeds up lock-on. Target Lock Transfer keeps the lock when switching between aiming and hip-fire. Smart Synergy gives instant lock-on and bonus damage on hacked enemies during Overclock. Cool covers sniper rifles. Focus and Deadeye add headshot damage. Long Shot keeps full damage at range. Nerves Of Tungsten-Steel guarantees crits on headshots.
For cyberware, Smart Link is essential. It enables smart targeting and adds target-lock duration and crit damage with smart weapons. A Recon Grenade speeds up lock-on against the enemies it affects. Visual Cortex Support adds crit chance the farther V is from the target.
Select a Build
Each fight starts with Overclock, then a control quickhack, then a combat quickhack. Smart guns lock on and finish the hacked enemies while Dashes and air Dashes keep the character moving. Silenced Smart guns and stealthy quickhacks also handle quiet gigs.

Lore
The item text asks a question: an Arasaka targeting system mounted on a Tsunami weapon? It adds that the combination is starting to make waves. Its Iconic text calls Yasha a special variant of the weapon, capable of additional modification, with an optimised design that improves handling.
The base Ashura is Tsunami's smart sniper rifle, sold in Night City's gun shops. Its own description is just four words: more than a rifle. Yasha takes that rifle and keeps its single-target smart lock. It also adds room for mods.
Notes
- Yasha is the Iconic variant of the Tsunami Ashura.
