The Kiroshi Doomsayer Optics show explosive devices and traps after a scan. The highlight stays for a full minute, so V can cross a mined area or a trapped hideout safely. The optics also add optical zoom while scanning or aiming. They cost very little Cyberware Capacity, and ripperdocs sell them from the start of the game. They also add a little Crit Chance for each point of Reflexes. The Kiroshi Doomsayer Optics are an early game implant that every ripperdoc sells from the start.
Effect
The Doomsayer works through the scanner. When V scans, the optics highlight explosive devices and traps. The highlight covers the area near V's crosshair and everything within a set radius. The radius grows with each tier. The highlight stays active for 60 seconds after the scan.
A highlighted trap is easy to spot and avoid. V can then step around a mine, or pick a different path through a room.
The optics also give optical zoom when scanning or aiming. The zoom level rises with each tier, from four times at Tier 1 up to ten times at Tier 5.
The Doomsayer is attuned to Reflexes. Each point of Reflexes adds a small amount of Crit Chance.

Upgrades
Ripperdocs sell the Doomsayer at Tier 1 at the start, Tier 2 from level 10, Tier 3 from level 20, Tier 4 from level 30 and Tier 5 from level 40. An installed copy can be raised a tier at a ripperdoc with the matching item components. Each tier widens the highlight radius and raises the zoom. Each copy also carries small stat bonuses. The Driver Update perk adds one more. The Chipware Connoisseur perk offers a choice of bonuses when V upgrades the implant. V gains Cyberware Capacity with each level and from Cyberware Capacity Shards. The Edgerunner perk lets V go over the limit at the cost of some max Health.
The table shows what each tier step of Kiroshi Doomsayer Optics costs at a ripperdoc.

Character Builds
The Doomsayer fits a Reflexes build, where its attunement adds Crit Chance. Practice Makes Perfect adds Crit Chance and Crit Damage for each Sharpshooter stack. Sharpshooter itself grants stacks on hits with assault rifles and submachine guns.
The Face slot holds one implant at first. A second Face slot unlocks during the main job Birds with Broken Wings. With both slots open, the Doomsayer can sit beside one other Kiroshi implant. The Clairvoyant highlights enemies. The Sentry highlights cameras and turrets. Kiroshi The Oracle Optics combine all three highlights in one implant, but they cost much more Cyberware Capacity and arrive later in the game.
