Cogito Lattice

| Class | Integumentary System |
The Cogito Lattice turns an empty RAM pool into extra protection. Once V has spent nearly all available RAM, the armor from this implant multiplies. A netrunner spends RAM in bursts, and the Cogito Lattice is strongest right after one. It is built for Intelligence characters who run a cyberdeck and spend RAM freely. Its armor also grows with each point of Intelligence. The Cogito Lattice is an early game implant that ripperdocs sell from the start, and it only gives its bonus with a cyberdeck installed.
Effect
The Cogito Lattice carries its own armor, like other Integumentary System cyberware. When available RAM falls below a set number of units, that armor rises by 200% or more. The threshold grows with the tier, so higher tiers switch on the bonus earlier. The bonus ends as soon as RAM climbs back above the threshold.
The implant needs an installed cyberdeck to give the RAM bonus.
The Cogito Lattice is attuned to Intelligence. Each point of Intelligence adds two points of armor through the implant. This makes the base armor larger, and the low RAM bonus then multiplies that larger number.
How to Get Cogito Lattice Guide
- Install a cyberdeck as the operating system.
- Visit any ripperdoc clinic and open the Integumentary System slot.
- Buy and install the Cogito Lattice.

Upgrades
Ripperdocs sell the Cogito Lattice at Tier 1 from the start, then at Tier 2 from level 10, Tier 3 from level 20, Tier 4 from level 30 and Tier 5 from level 40. An installed copy can be raised a tier at a ripperdoc with the matching item components. Each tier raises the base armor, the armor bonus and the RAM threshold. V gains Cyberware Capacity with each level and from Cyberware Capacity Shards. The Edgerunner perk lets V go over the limit by up to 50 points, at the cost of some max Health.
The table shows what each tier step of Cogito Lattice costs at a ripperdoc.
| Upgrade | Components |
|---|---|
| Tier 1 to Tier 1+ | 20 Tier 1 components |
| Tier 1+ to Tier 2 | 15 Tier 2 components |
| Tier 2 to Tier 2+ | 20 Tier 2 components |
| Tier 2+ to Tier 3 | 15 Tier 3 components |
| Tier 3 to Tier 3+ | 20 Tier 3 components |
Character Builds
The Cogito Lattice belongs in an Intelligence build with a cyberdeck. A netrunner who empties the RAM pool on quickhacks keeps the armor bonus active while the pool stays low. The perk Overclock lets V keep uploading quickhacks with too little RAM by paying Health instead. That keeps RAM at the bottom, where the Cogito Lattice is strongest. Power Surge restores Health when Overclock starts, which helps cover the Health cost.
Feen-X works the same way from the Skeleton slot. It speeds up RAM regeneration while available RAM is low. The two implants together reward a low RAM pool with both armor and faster recovery. The Camillo RAM Manager pulls the other way, because it refills RAM the moment the pool runs low.
All Things Cyber lowers the Cyberware Capacity cost of Integumentary System implants by 20%. Chrome Constitution cuts incoming damage by 5% when every Integumentary System and Skeleton slot is filled.
Select a Build
Control quickhacks and Smart weapons are the focus of the build. A fight opens with a high jump and Projectile Launch System shots that trigger Pyromania. Overclock then goes on, and the Hercules 3AX finishes the rest.
