Nano-Plating

| Class | Integumentary System |
Nano-Plating gives V a chance to block incoming bullets and other projectiles outright. The chance is small on its own. Right after a dodge or Dash, the chance jumps by 100% for a moment, so V can block the next shot. A Reflexes character who Dashes through gunfire gets the most out of it. It also adds a large block of armor and a little Crit Chance for each point of Reflexes. Nano-Plating is an early game implant that ripperdocs sell from level 10.
Effect
Nano-Plating has a passive part and an active part. The passive part gives a small chance to block any incoming projectile.
The active part triggers after a dodge or Dash. The block chance then rises by 100% for a short time. The bonus ends when that time runs out or when the next projectile is blocked, whichever comes first.
Nano-Plating can block at most three projectiles within a few seconds. Higher tiers shorten that window and lengthen the bonus after a dodge or Dash. Higher tiers also raise the base block chance and the armor.
Nano-Plating is attuned to Reflexes. Each point of Reflexes adds a small amount of Crit Chance.
How to Get Nano-Plating Guide
- Reach level 10.
- Visit a ripperdoc clinic and open an Integumentary System slot.
- Buy and install Nano-Plating.

Upgrades
Ripperdocs sell Nano-Plating from level 10, and the tier they stock rises every 10 levels. An installed copy can be raised a tier at a ripperdoc with the matching item components. Each tier raises the block chance and the armor. Each copy also carries small stat bonuses. The Driver Update perk adds one more. The Chipware Connoisseur perk offers a choice of bonuses when V upgrades the implant. V gains Cyberware Capacity with each level and from Cyberware Capacity Shards. The Edgerunner perk lets V go over the limit at the cost of some max Health.
The table shows what each tier step of Nano-Plating costs at a ripperdoc.

Character Builds
Nano-Plating belongs in a Reflexes build that moves a lot. The Dash perk unlocks the Dash, which replaces the dodge and covers more ground. Air Dash unlocks a Dash in midair. Mad Dash doubles Dash range toward enemies. Each Dash starts the Nano-Plating bonus again. Can't Touch This adds a large Mitigation Chance bonus during a Dash.
A blade user can add Lead And Steel, which lets blades block incoming projectiles. Bullet Deflect then sends blocked bullets toward the reticle while Stamina is above 33%.
Technical Ability perks help Integumentary System implants. All Things Cyber lowers the Cyberware Capacity cost of Integumentary System and Skeleton implants by 20%. Chrome Constitution cuts incoming damage by 5% when every Integumentary System and Skeleton slot is filled.
